| The Story Behind This Watch |
There was a discussion at one point in August regarding the Sinn 656 and what a slick looking watch it was, although on the upper end of the Poor Man’s Watch Forum limit ($1000). Still nice, though. Then someone posted this Aeromatic, obviously trying to emulate the look of the Sinn at a fraction of the cost – take a look, I paid $65 shipped for the Aeromatic while the Sinn runs $890. Granted, it is apples and oranges, I have no doubt that the quality of the Sinn is far better, but for the buck, I like this one. Classic Flieger look to it, simple and uncomplicated. The lume is good, it hacks, 40mm (the perfect size for my wrist, I’ve decided) and display back (although the movement is not that decorated). Good deal.
