| The Story Behind This Watch |
What a deal, I’m telling ya. A hand wind chronograph for 125 bucks? Sure, it looks an AWFUL lot like the Rolex Paul Newman, but that’s actually the point. Most people on the planet could not possibly afford one of these coveted Rolex, so why not make a less expensive alternitve? Makes sense to me.
The beef I suppose some people will have is the hand at 6 o’clock. This does nothing other than mirror the main hour hand. It just rotates around the dial once every 12 hours. It cannot be independently set or changed, it’s just there. It’s kind of a downer, in a way. I’d rather not have the dial there at all, or have the hand frozen in place (which would probably, in reality, bug me just as much). But, for 125 clams, why bitch? Really?
