| The Story Behind This Watch |
This watch (to date) represents the last impulse purchase I have made. I saw a post of the watch on Time Zone by Steve in NJ (you can view the post here) and thought for $200 it was a fantastic looking watch. Dressy, and with my favorite complication, a chronograph. If I were to have one it would probably be the dressiest watch I would own. It was just very different than anything I owned at the time. So, I popped Steve a PM and inquired as to the seller on the bay where he bought his. After his kind reply, I went shopping, and did not see any for sale. So, I then popped the seller a message via eBay asking if he had the watch. According to him, he had just listed the last one he had. I found it and added it to my watchlist.
Usually I wait when watching watches before bidding. I’ll let it sit until it is within the last hour or so and then bid. But, I knew what I was able to spend so I went ahead and bid with 3 days left. Lo and behold, I won the sucker.
I remember my first impression being, “Wow, this DOES look good.” It looks like it should have cost far more than $200. I do really like it, but I need to get a dressier strap for it, one that fits. The stock strap was fine to look at, just too long for my skinny wrist.
