| The Story Behind This Watch |
I must admit, I was drawn to this watch the first time I saw the sales post. I was not shopping, but rather performing part of my Admin duties at the PMWF by reviewing sales posts to ensure they comply with the issues. Part of the problem with that is you often run into watches that you suddenly find yourself quite interested in. This watch was that way. Something about the bezel, the black day-date wheels (which I love on a black dialed watch), and it just looked great. The strap was one concern, since it is a odd dimensions for the lug and basically, an integrated strap (although it can be replaced). I may test drive a couple of other trimmed down straps to see if I can create an alternative, just in case one is needed. But, other than that I am very happy with the watch and feel that I will enjoy it for some time.
Yes, this was an impulse buy, and the “kewl” vibe did wear off rather quickly. Still a slick looking watch, but it just didn’t take with me.
