| The Story Behind This Watch |
This watch interested me for a while, but, not enough at first to really buy it. I would look at it from time to time on Bernardwatches.com and think, yeah, that’s pretty nice. Well, it wasn’t until I saw one on eBay for under $400 that I realized what a value the watch was. So, I stalked one from start to finish and ended up with my prize.
The watch is very well built, and the date, although recessed behind the seconds hand for the chronograph when it is not running, is actually not that bad to read. Your eyes just manage to focus. The strap was a bit too long for my wrist, to it had to go. And I found a so-so bracelet that I have only had on for about an hour. I just don’t like bracelets that do not have end links that fit flush against the watch’s case. I could have gotten the bracelet with the watch, but did not have the extra $100 it would have cost me at the time. No worries, the watch looks awesome on the strap. It looks even better on a rubber tire tread strap, in fact.
